The Admiral Nimitz Gallery, George Bush Gallery of the Pacific War, the Plaza of the Presidents, Japanese Garden of Peace, Memorial Walk, and the Pacific Combat Zone are all part of the National Museum of the Pacific War, which was tabbed as the fifth-best history museum in the United States in 2020 by USA Today readers. Dedicated to all those who served in the Pacific War. See displays of some of the most notable aspects and events of WWII in the Pacific. Bit and Bridle Stables offers trail rides and riding lessons in the Texas Hill Country. All trail rides are privately guided and scheduled. Allowing 1-10 riders at a time. They are approximately 2 hours and include a short lesson to make sure everyone is comfortable on their horse. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area has drawn visitors for centuries, because of its uniqueness in the Texas Hill Country landscape. The 425-foot pink granite batholith rises out of the greenness and gently rolling hills that surround it. Today, it is one of Texas' most visited sites in the state parks system and allows visitors to connect with nature, while providing 360-agree views of the surrounding Hill Country. Located in Gillespie & Llano Counties, 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on RR 965 or south from Llano on S. State Hwy 16 for 14 miles, then west on R.R. 965 for eight miles. Please note that all trails close at sunset, except the Loop Trail, and pets are not allowed on the Summit Trail. Park camping, picnicking, 8.4 miles of hiking trails, nature trail, interpretive exhibits, rock climbing, watchable wildlife, store. Open 7 days a week year-round, except for public hunting which occurs several times in the fall and winter months. Please check the website for closure information when the park reaches capacity. Please note that the new TPWD reservation system is now active. You can go online (or call 512-389-8900) and make a reservation for a "save the day pass" up to 30 days before your arrival date so that you won't have to wait in line and to ensure your entry to the park! $8 per person admission; children 12 and under are free.
Join for a night of goosebumps, spooks, and screams as the Olympic Pool is transformed into a ghoulish haunted house. Family-friendly tours will run from 5-6 p.m. After 6 p.m. parental guidance is suggested for anyone under the age of 13, as the haunted attractions will come to life.
